Create Android Release Build
The Google Play Store requires an Android App Bundle (AAB) for submissions. An Android Release Build prepares your app for Play Store testing tracks and final publishing.
Note: Always use your Test App for daily testing and custom development. The Release App should be reserved for submission to the Apple App Store.
Steps:
- Go to WordPress Admin > BuddyBoss App > Build > Request Build.
- Select Android → Release App → Send Build Request.
- Once complete, download the AAB File from Build History.
- In Google Play Console, go to Release > Production and ensure your target countries or regions are configured.
- In Release > Testing, choose Closed Testing.
- In Manage Track, Create New Release → upload AAB under App bundles and APKs → Save → Review → Start rollout.
- Add testers by going to Testing > Closed testing > Testers and add testers’ Google Play emails. Share it by copying the Join on Android link.
- Go to Settings > License Testing, add the same emails. This allows testing of in-app purchases.
Always generate a new Release Build when updating your app.
Your Android Release Build is ready for submission.
