Setting Up Push Notifications

Enable and customize push notifications so your community stays connected and engaged.
- In WordPress Admin, go to BuddyBoss App > Settings > Push Notifications.
- Toggle Enable Push Notifications and click Save Changes.
- Confirm Firebase is configured: upload Firebase config files and Admin SDK Key under BuddyBoss App > Configure > Google Firebase.
- If you haven’t set up Firebase yet, revisit the Firebase Setup for Notifications section.

- Under Push Notifications, enable or disable specific triggers, such as:
- New messages
- Mentions (@)
- Friend requests
- Group activity
- Course or lesson updates
- Click Save Changes.
Send Manual Notifications (Optional)
- Go to BuddyBoss App > Push Notifications > New Notification
- Enter a title and message
- Choose your audience (all users, specific groups, or roles)
- Click Send Now (or schedule it for later)
