Overview
In this section, we’ll focus on setting up your mobile app.
We’ll go over the process of installing the BuddyBoss app plugin and connecting your mobile app to your website. We will also discuss installing the BuddyBoss app on a staging site vs a production website.
Next, you will create an Apple developer account. Your Apple developer account is what allows you to publish your mobile app in the Apple App Store. If you don’t already have one, you’ll need to create an Apple developer account, and we will also go over the Apple App Store Review Guidelines.
Next, we will also create a Google developer account. Your Google developer account is what allows you to publish your mobile app in the Google Play Store. If you don’t already have one, you’ll need to create a Google developer account, and we will also go over the Google Developer Program Policies.
With these developer accounts in place, you will learn how to connect your Apple and Google developer accounts to your BuddyBoss App. Once you’ve connected your developer accounts to your app, you’ll be able to sync your in-app products with your products in your Apple and Google developer accounts, and automatically generate the provisioning profiles required by Apple so you will be able to submit the iOS and Android version of your app to be published through our publishing service.
In this section, you will also create your Google Firebase account. Google Firebase is a free service that we use to deliver push notifications to your users, Android, and iOS devices. Creating a firebase account is mandatory even if you won’t use the push notifications feature for your mobile app.
